Tariq Lamptey’s spell on the sidelines has been extended after the defender sustained another injury during training.

The English international has been missing in action since Decembers after an impressive individual display in the first half of the Premier League season and was expected to be back to face Leicester City on Saturday but Graham Potter reports that the 20-year old will have to see a specialist after another setback.

“Tariq won't be fit, he had a little setback this week and we need to get to the bottom of that,” he told reporters.

“It's a problem with his hamstring. He's seeing a specialist and he's not available for the weekend.”

The Seagulls are battling relegation after slipping down their 10 points clear from the drop zone last month after victories over Spurs and Liverpool.

They have picked up only two points following back to back defeats against Crystal Palace and West Brom.

He has so far made 11 appearances in the Premier League and scored once.
