Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area, Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw IV has called on various Tertiary Institutions in the country to improve on their programmes in order to produce graduates who will come up with solutions to the numerous challenges confronting the country.

According to him, it was a sad but known reality that Ghana despite being blessed with all-natural resources cannot boast of graduates who are able to invent technologies to take care of the needs of the Citizenry but still rely on foreign imports.

Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw made this observation in an interview with the media at his Palace when Professor Daniel Kwame Bediako, Vice-Chancellor of Valley View University led high-powered officials from their headquarters in Oyibi–Accra and paid a courtesy call on him. The Omanhene of Techiman commended the Adventist Church for their immense contribution to the development of Ghana especially the Bono East region in areas of education, health and employment.

He however charged them to roll out programmes that will turn graduates into problem solvers.

Professor Emmanuel Bismark Amponsah, Rector of Valley View University-Techiman Campus was grateful to Nananom for their continued collaboration with the school to improve the human resource base of the Bono East region and Ghana at large.
