Prampram Paramount Chief Secretary's life in danger as hired thugs chased him out within prampram township on Wednesday, March 23, 20222 amidst fear and panic in the area.

The General Secretary to Paramount Chief of Prampram Royal Stool in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region, Mr... Nasser Abbey Osabutey on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, escaped a deadly attack from the two unnamed individuals believed to be hired thugs of the enemies of the Prampram Paramount Chief, Nene Tetteh Wakah III.
"The two hired thugs on the separate motorbikes are trailing me in the evening around 8:pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from the Sea-Lane road within the Prampram township, and when l suspect that they are chasing me with the motorbikes l intentionally make a stopover at the area of the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly and pretend like l want to speak to somebody and l saw the thugs speed up the motorbikes and passed and quickly l turned back and drove away," Mr. Osabutey narrated.
According to him, he is currently on the run due to threats to his life and stated that he was advised by the Prampram Police Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent, Mr. Washington Foli to officially lodge a formal complaint with the Ningo-Prampram District Divisional Police about the issue.
The senior police officer, Mr. Osabutey noted has offered advice to him when he called him via telephone call on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, to report the incident of attack on his life by the thugs.
He stated that although this attack by the thugs was the first on his life, he suspected that the thugs were hired by the other feuding factions in the Prampram Paramountcy chieftaincy dispute to trail him because of the instrumental roles he played to support the Paramount Chief of Prampram Traditional Council, Nene Tetteh Wakah III to legally secure the gazette which has given the legal backing Nene Tetteh Wakah III chieftaincy status.
The worried General Secretary of the stool called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare to impress upon the police officers at Prampram to take up the issue on his behalf as a secretary to the Prampram Paramountcy Stool to safeguard limb and our property.”
He said he has full confidence in Dr. George Dampare, and expressed the hope that the police would expedite action in their investigations and deal with those connected with the shooting and killing incidents in the area.
The chieftaincy institution at Prampram has been rocked by violent incidents in recent times for which many innocent citizens of the Prampram Traditional Area were gunned down by some unknown assailants.
