If You Aren't Ready To Serve The People Of Ghana With Humility,Do Not Enter My  Govt–President Mahama Warns Potential Appointees

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has sounded a strong word of warning to the various potential appointees, urging them to refrain from seeking positions in his upcoming administration if they are not committed to serving the public interest.

“People who are considering themselves for various positions under my new government … and I just want to warn them, it is not going to be a walk in the park. If you are not prepared to work and serve the people of Ghana, diligently, with modesty and humility, then do not come. Just stay where you are, " President John Dramani Mahama warned.

Speaking during his thanksgiving service at the Assemblies of God Church in Accra, President Mahama asserted that the outcome of the election was a reminder of the citizenry’s power in determining who becomes a leader

“We have grown in arrogance and selfishness and we have believed that the power that we wield over the people belongs to us and did not recognize that it was God who gave it to us temporarily.

“God has made us know that power belongs to the people. It should serve as a lesson to those of us who are coming into government.”

"Just us our colleagues in the NPP might be feeling very painful about their loss, it should serve as a leason to those of us coming to form my government that the same stick that Tekyi has been beaten with the Ghanaians people are being reserving it for Baah," he noted.
