If You are not Appointed For MMDCE's Position, don't feel Offended - Western North Regional Minister
Honourable Richard Obeng

The Western North Regional Minister, Honourable Richard Obeng has made a passionate appeal to the good people of Ghana to have time for the president, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo to appoint good and hard-working Metropolitan Municipal District Chief Executives for Ghanaians.

Honourable Richard Obeng stated that due to the covid-19 crisis, the economy is now gaining ground, so Ghanaians should understand the president and have time for him on the appointment of the MMDCE'S, though the constitution gives the president that right without any time frame.

Honourable Richard said though there would be changes and for development strive, any change needs time for the betterment of the country.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews reporter Nattybongo, Hon Richard Obeng made it clear that come what may, there will be some changes, so if the president does not appoint a nominee, they should not feel offended because there are more other opportunities ahead.

Honourable Richard Obeng again said, when the Western North was not created, they were worried about travelling from the north to south (the western regional capital, Takoradi) to submit their documents, but the creation of the western north region has cut down such difficulties.

Honourable Richard commended the chiefs who fought for the region (Western North) to be created, and that, their names will never be forgotten and also pleaded with some of the chiefs to buried all litigations.
