If elected president, I'll organize a young music and dance competition – Kojo Bonsu

Kojo Bonsu, a former mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, has promised to fundamentally change the music industry if given the chance to run the country.

He said that for young people in Ghana who are interested in the music industry and have the potential to write their own songs, competitions would be held at the District, Regional, and National levels.

The ultimate victors will cooperate with record labels and foreign artists and collect enormous awards. He believed that this idea would provide young people with work possibilities.

"All young people should start writing songs since it opens up job prospects. I'll set up competitions for them at the district, regional, and national levels if I win the presidency.

"The winner will collaborate with record labels and it will create a lot of career chances for the youth and it's better than Sakawa," the entrant said.

By saying that he will build a low-cost monorail system to relieve traffic on the country's roadways, Mr. Bonsu further exposed his intentions for the country's transportation sector.

He has already cooperated with a South African bank to fulfill this endeavor.

"I've already worked with a bank in South Africa, and I even intended to create the monorail system in Kumasi.

It merely requires raising the necessary funds, and it's considerably less expensive, but I'll make sure Ghana has a monorail system to relieve the strain on our roads and highways.

The former mayor entered the National Democratic Congress flagbearer election against former president John Dramani Mahama after announcing his intention to run for president.
