If being a father on one slows Sarkodie down, how will he cope with the birth of his new baby Boy?
Sarkodie and his Son, MJ.

Ghanaian lyrical legend, Sarkodie, announced his son to the world on Father's Day, 21 of June 2020.

He uploaded pictures of himself, his father, and his son on his Twitter page to mark the signing of a new patriarchal generation.

The rap King was earlier recorded this year to have said that being a father of one has slowed his musical career down as he cannot do some things freely like he would have done when he had no parental responsibilities.

“It’s a great thing to be a father, it’s actually what I imagined and more but it has it’s downside, you don’t notice the downside but with time you get to realize that you need to do what you were doing and not put a hold to it because someone new came into your life and that’s what has happened to me. It has slowed me down! I thought nothing else mattered.” He told Kweku Sintim-Misa on the KSM show, in the last days of 2019.

He even apologized to his fans, claiming that the birth of his first child had hindered his relationship with his fan base.

“I’m sorry, this is new, to SackNation, I use to update you about my “moves” but when Titi came in I didn’t really care about you guys”.

It begs the question of how his career will be now that he has two children, the second of which is his baby boy. He will now have to work twice as hard to keep in touch with things than he normally would on a normal day.

Sarkodie recently returned to Ghana with his family after being stuck in the U.S.A for months due to the Coronavirus lockdown. The proud father also uploaded a picture of himself and his first child, his daughter Adalyn.

Sarkodie's wife, Tracy Sarkcess, was initially spotted at the airport with a new baby and rumors were rife that they had adopted another child. He has now quenched the rumors by announcing his son, Michael Nana Yaw Owusu Addo Jr aka “MJ”, to the world.
