I’d Love To See Ebony Reigns Doppelgänger - Starboy Kwarteng

Starboy Kwarteng has admitted that he would like to meet Iona Reine.

According to him, from the pictures he has seen, he is very much aware of the uncanny resemblance she bears to his late daughter, Ebony Reigns.

This he said while talking to Docta Kay on Accra100.5FM’s drivetime show, ‘Nkran Kwanso’; his wish would not see her face to face.

A visit from her is all he asked for, as he stated that his house is always open anytime she feels like she wants to personally come and introduce herself.

“I haven't met her but if she will deem it necessary to come home, I will love to see her personally. I have seen pictures and heard that she really looks like Nana Hemaa [Ebony],” he said.

He then subtly reminded the artiste that she cannot copy Ebony's style without paying homage to him in the industry.

Per his words, other artistes need his validation before they can imitate Ebony Reigns.

“Everyone has a mentor. Everyone has someone he looks up to. Looking at how Nana Hemaa was doing things and all, and you act like you're taking inspiration from her, in terms of her style and attitude and you deny that obvious fact, I feel bad about it,”

Starboy, who considers himself an adept manager, defended himself by claiming that he has not failed in managing the record label that his daughter left him to manage.

"I had an issue with my first signee Kimore but I am going to sort them out. I traveled and after a while, we stopped communicating for reasons best known to her. But now that I am back, I intend to put things in place, get to know why we stopped communicating, and move on. But for failure, I know I haven’t failed”.

“And I also want to help other upcoming artistes grow in the industry”.

“It’s unfortunate that things didn’t go as expected with my first signee. But I still don’t see that as a failure in any case. I am still doing my best and you mark my words, this record label is here to stay”.

Starboy Kwarteng disclosed, he is currently working with a new signee who means business. “He means business and I know you will love everything he does”, he concluded
