Okyeame Kwame has said that he has decided to love his wife no matter what.
He made this statement while asserting that love is a decision that must be upheld through thick and thin and not an emotion that comes and goes as people think.
The award-winning rapper, who with his wife, is currently teaching celebrities how to balance family and career through his "Love Locked Down" series.
While speaking to Brown Berry on the ‘Ryse N Shyne Show on Y 107.9 FM for the promotion of the series, he maintained that love is a permanent thing that lasts regardless of what others do.
"Based on my understanding of what love is and based on the research we’ve done, love is a promise to a partner or to someone or something that you will consistently help that thing or one to blossom no matter what”.
“So technically it is not two-way traffic. It is a decision you have to make. I am with Annica if she becomes a crackhead I love her, if she cheats on me I love her, even if she breaks my heart I love her”. He explained.
Okyeame Kwame further noted that love is a promising one makes to their partner and this promise must be fulfilled no matter what happens.
Using society as an example, he explained how love has become a tool of manipulation where we tell people we love them we expect them to do certain things for us just because we have told them we love them but it does not work that way.
“When you say I love you it doesn’t mean you should only do things that will make me happy but it means that I will help you become the best version of yourself” he concluded.
