Shatta Wale has revealed that he was formerly a bodyguard for prostitutes at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle and Adabraka during the days when music was not feeding him. 

The self-acclaimed dancehall king revealed this while reflecting on his past during his hustling days and the things he has had to do on his way to superstardom. He disclosed that the bodyguard job was one of the many part time jobs he had to do to support himself although his dad was a rich politician. 

"Go to Circle and ask; I had ‘Ashawo’ girlfriends there. Do you know the life I have lived? I used to bodyguard ‘Ashawo’. I was the mafia for them; ask boys who know me for Adabraka, they will tell you [sic].”

The ‘Melissa‘ hitmaker said he does not appreciate people downplaying his life and successes because of his music. He stated that most folks believe he had life on a silver platter and was born with a silver spoon, not having to work or hustle for anything in life. 

Shatta Wale stated that the artistes people compare him to have not lived the kind of life he has. Following his struggle for everything he has achieved till date owing his success to no one but himself. 

Shatta Wale added that although he was not buff like some bodyguards yet he gave his best.
