Award-winning singer Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, better known by her stage name Efya, has spoken out about her extended hiatus from the music industry, claiming that she was dealt a shattered heart.

When a female voice was required for a song, Efya Nokturnal, one of the best female singers in the nation, was the singer of choice.
It should be noted that she hasn't released a song or project in a while, and every time she hits the headlines, it's implied that she was under the influence of drugs at the events she went to.
Efya was asked about her absence from the music industry in an interview with AJ Sarpong, and she gave the reason that she had a broken heart from someone.
She claimed that because she was experiencing so much emotion, it interfered with her ability to sing. As a result, she chose to quit making music and to avoid being in public for a while.
I didn't want to sing since my heart was broken, the woman stated. Since I'm a baby girl, my feelings are very important to me, and at the moment, I didn't want to cope with them.
"I've also been working for 15 years straight, performing on all the shows throughout that time and still representing. And I believe I gave each person their feature, she added.
