Ghanaian TV broadcaster, Gifty Anti has been cleared of Coronavirus suspicions, testing negative for the virus after she was mandatorily quarantined upon her entry of the country. 

She was among the 1,000 persons who were mandatorily quarantined and were being tested after entering Ghana from Coronavirus-ravaged countries. She shared the results of her test on her Facebook page confirming that she had indeed tested negative for the virus. 

"My results is finally in, the doctor drilled me a lot before she finally told me that I have come out negative, I don't have the virus but then with the caution, I still have to be very careful," she said.

Oheneyere, as she is referred to, in a statement, said she lost five kilos in five minutes while waiting to hear the test results. “Between ‘hello I am Dr…’ to the end of the 5-minute conversation, I lost 5 kilos!! Sharp.  Chai!!,” she stated.

The award-winning broadcast journalist said she is writing a book on her quarantine experience and urged Ghanaians to stay safe while obeying the protocols outlined to prevent the spread of the virus.

Gifty is a native of Cape Coast in the Central Region but was born and bred in Tema, the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Due to economic hardship, she hawked and engaged in carpentry works to earn a living.

Gifty is married to Nana Ansah Kwao IV, Chief of Akwamu Adumasa. She gave birth to their first child on 11 August 2017. Their daughter, Nyame Anuonyam, is such a pride of hers and expresses so much joy in having a miracle child, even at her age.
