The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye has open up that he is yet to make a decision whether to contest for the Bantama Parliamentary seat.

The Kokoso Polling Station plus nine others including Adomanu, Abrepo on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 picked up a nomination form for the deputy Chief of staff at the New Patriotic Party office, Bantama.

When asked during an Inter School Quiz programme for the Bantama Sub Metro organized by the Deputy Chief of Staff, he told the media that he is yet to make the decision.

“A group of delegates, polling station agents and executives picked up a nomination form for me to contest. I have received the forms but I’m yet to decide with the party executive and my family,” he said.

 

 

“They informed me of their intentions and I permitted them. You’ll hear from me soon,” he said.

According to the Kokoso Polling Station chairman of the Bantama Electoral Area, Nana Owusu Ansah, Bantama has been a victim of poor infrastructures therefore giving Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye the nod to represent the constituency will fulfil and make lives better for residents.

“He will transform Bantama if given the nod to be MP. The current administration is underperforming and we are not cheerful about that,” he said.

Hon. Asenso also spoke on the need for the country administrators to invest in the education of the youth whiles addressing the media on the benefits derived from educational policies laid down by prominent leaders.

He therefore entreated scholarship and learning programs to be effectively implemented to profit the young ahead of the future.

“If we are able to provide the children a better educational standard, they will be well-equipped for the future and the nation will be in safe hands.

"I benefitted from Ghana’s resources some time ago. I even gained a scholarship from the Otumfuo Education fund whiles I was at the University, Rattary International also sponsored me abroad to study free and it has helped me a lot," he said.
