Adomaa has trashed the rumours that she has abandoned music for the movies.

The Afro-jazz singer maintained that she is still very much on the music scene even though it appears as if she's on a music break.

According to her, she is no such thing as a break especially not because of her newfound love for acting.

Revealing that she is still working on new music, the artist admitted that she is putting most of her efforts into the Ghanaian telenovela series, Dede, which airs on the recently launched Akwaaba channel on DStv.

“I accept that it’s been a while but I have not stopped doing music. I’m still into music and presently working on a project which I am hoping to bring out this year.

“Music and acting are jobs in the entertainment industry even though they have their own pros and cons. However, if others have been successful with the two, then I can also do it.

"Any time I get the chance, I go to the studio to work on my project so I have not pulled the brakes on my music, I’m very much active,” she stated.

The artiste, who got her debut role in the movie, Bad Luck Joe, and is already enjoying good reviews as the lead character in Dede, a brainchild of award-winning filmmaker Shirley Frimpong Manso, noted that she will soon be serving up new tracks to her beloved listeners.

Adomaa, who won the 2018 Unsung Act of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) is vying for the Record of the Year with her Be Your Own Beautiful at this year’s VGMA.
