‘I Hate Seeing Same Faces In Ghanaian Films’– Ama K. Abebrese

Actress / Tv personality, Ama K. Abebrese, says she hate seeing same faces in Ghanaian movies.

Many are in pact with the award-winning British-Ghanaian actress for the reason that, most of the movies shown are mostly known actresses which according her, it’s bad.

She explained that people are used to the same old faces of celebrities therefore she advised that directors and producers part way for the upcoming actresses to exhibit their God given talent for the growth of the Ghana Movie Industry.

 She announced at a workshop organized at the Accra Tourist Information Centre for industry players to talk over the movie industry in Ghana and how to make it a part of the Oscar award scheme.

Actress Nikki Samonas and Roselyn Ngissah also shared their thoughts on how to progress the movie industry.

According to Nikki, actresses are not to blame for the use of same faces but rather, it’s the producers and directors fault for maintaining same faces for they claim, most people watch movies looking at faces and because of that, it’s hard for the audience to accept new faces.

Roselyn also added that, there must be a balance strike for the casting of the well-known and new faces.
