Nigerian singer, Burna Boy on Friday disclosed he had been traumatised since the October 20 shooting of #EndSARS protesters by men in military uniform at Lekki toll gate, Lagos.

Burna Boy, however, recorded a new song about the incident. The song has been going viral on various social media platforms.

In the clip that was spotted online, the singer stated that there is nothing that can justify the killing of peaceful protesters in Lekki.

Noting the date that the event happened, Burna Boy said that it will remain hard to forget in the history of the country.

The Ye crooner has been actively involved in the EndSARS protest that happened across the country in the past few days and it is not surprising that he recorded a song to show how he feels about it.

Burna boy stated that he has not slept since the day that youths were killed at the Lekki tollgate.

The singer noted that whenever he closes his eyes, all he sees is the Lekki toll gate. According to him, he has seen a lot of violence and death in his life but the recent one at Lekki traumatised him.

In a tweet, he wrote: “I HAVE NOT SLEPT since 20/10/2020. I close my eyes and all I see is Lekki toll gate.

“I’ve seen a lot of violence and death in my life but this is the one that has traumatized me.”

Burna Boy’s statement followed a broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday which failed to address worries about the shooting.

The singer had opened a funding platform for supporting victims of police brutality.
