In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, security services are looking for more than 800 captives who were released by armed rebels.

According to the army and other sources, the attack on the Kakwangura central jail in North Kivu province resulted in the deaths of two police officers and one insurgent.

About 50 of the fugitives were apprehended.
