Hon Yakubu Calls for More Republic bank branches in Upper East Region
The Upper East Regional Minister, Honourable Stephen Yakubu appeals to banks to establish branches in his region.

The Upper East Regional Minister, Honourable Stephen Yakubu has called on the management of the Republic Bank to consider extending its branches to other parts of the Region to create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth.
At a brief ceremony to commission the Bolgatanga branch of the Bank, the Minister said "Republic" indicated that the Bank belonged to the people of Ghana, adding that its services should be tailored towards poverty reduction among residents of the Region.
Hon Yakubu reminded management of the Bank of their corporate social responsibilities to the people of Bolgatanga and pledged to collaborate with the management of the Bank in the interest of the people of the Region.
In attendance among other dignitaries who graced the occasion was the Paramount Chief of the Talensi Traditional Area, Tongraan Naab Kugbilsong Nanlebegtang.
