The Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency in the Central region of Ghana, Honourable Ophelia Mensah has paid a visit to the Islamic Women's organization at the Mfantseman Constituency.

Speaking to the Central Regional Soireenews correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, Madam Ophelia emphasized that she represents women in the constituency and as Muslims embark on their usual fasting and prayers, it is her responsibility to pay a visit to the muslims especially the women to encourage them.

She told that as far as she has inherited the late MP, Hon. Ekow Quansah who also happened to be her husband, improving the lives of men and women in the Mfantseman Constituency is key.

Honourable Ophelia Mensah was bestowed an Islamic name as Hajia Saadatu. She further promised that a contractor will soon begin the construction of their market soon. She assured to let the Muslim women keep the market following efforts by them in developing the place.

Financial assistance was also mentioned to embolden their capital and improve their trade.

The Muslim women on their part thanked Honourable Ophelia Mensah for the kind gesture and appealed to her that to fetch opportunities for their wards who have successfully had good grades in the WASSCE examinations. They petitioned her to support them to get a chance into the security service.

The women also requested a minibus that will support them anytime they want to go for a program.
