Kumi Guitar has pledged his undying loyalty to the Highlife Genre.

The prominent highlife artiste explained that he is not worried about how much he makes in the industry or how much other artistes in other genres make.

According to him, no other genre has the potential to win a Grammy award, therefore he is willing to pay the sacrifice to make a millennial dream come true.

“As a young artiste I had a choice of doing other genres but I choose Highlife because I see myself as a generational thinker so I'm not perturbed about how much more money I would make in doing other genres.

“There are talks about how Ghana would win a Grammy award but it would be difficult to do it with other foreign genres but Highlife music has huge potential of winning Ghana a Grammy award in the near future,'' he said.

This he said in an interview with GNA Entertainment.

No matter the genre, how artistes handle troubles is what makes great them adding, that one needs to be level-headed to be able to survive in the Ghanaian music industry.

“If you don’t have that second heart and you only have one heart pumping blood for you and doing everything else, that is when you’ll get High blood pressure and your veils will all choke up."

"I’ve always said that If you have a clear heart and mind, you’ll go through a lot of issues, tribulations and troubles, and you’ll need to jump even higher hurdles that you never thought you’d meet but someway, somehow, there will be a push. Somebody would hold you from behind and help you jump,”

"If you’re an artist, in all, this makes you. Whether it comes good or bad, it is up to you to turn it into a positive vibe for yourself. If you take things negatively before you’d know it, you’d be saying or doing things that you shouldn’t be doing,”He concluded.
