The Biakoye District Education Director, Madam Roselle Kafui Ofori is calling on parents to help bring back young mothers to school.

She said young girls who became school drop due to early pregnancy have the second chance by Ghana Education Service to come back to school to achieve their goals without anyone stopping them from attending to their educational potential in life.

Madam Kafui added that bringing back young mothers to the classroom is dear to the heart of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and must be taken seriously.

She, therefore, appealed to parents to join hands with the Ghana Education Service (GES) to encourage young mothers to return to school after child delivery.

According to her, some of these young ones refused to come back to school with the fear that, their colleagues will laugh at them or out of stigmatization.

Speaking at a one-day sensitization workshop on " guidelines for the prevention of pregnancy and support for the entry of young mothers," Madam Kafui Ofori continued that GES also has the " Safe School Policy" to make Schools in Ghana free from bullying, sexual harassment, and corporal punishments.

The workshop was held at the Catholic formation and counseling center, Kadjebi Nsuta in the Akan constituency of the Oti Region on Wednesday organized by Oti Regional Education Directorates, Saw personalities like teachers, Stakeholders, and opinion Leaders.
