Heightened insecurity in the country, due to NPP highjacking of the economy  -Chris Asher Jnr

Chairman of the Parousia Ward in Baatsona within the Tema West Constituency, Comrade Chris Asher has disclosed that the heightened insecurity in the country is due to the highjacking of the economy by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) functionaries.

According to him, the majority of Ghanaians who feel sidelined by the ruling class get involved in activities that create insecurity in the country.

Comrade Chris Asher who was speaking in an exclusive interview with Soireenews.com said most places in the country that are said to pose no insecurity threat have now become danger zones.

Apart from highjacking the import sector, he said this government has as well hijacked the business sector too, importing things the ordinary Ghanaian does.

There are reports of a member of the Council of State getting involved in the importation of frozen foods, a matter which has been under investigation by the Special Prosecutor (SP) but had been halted.

He could not understand why the investigation by the Special Prosecutor concerning those frozen foods of which the member of the Council of State was reported to have been involved in was halted.

He said all those happenings account for why the security of the country has been jeopardized.

He added that as part of their diabolic plans, the NPP has packed vigilante boys into the security services whom they are ordering as puppets to terrorize citizens, a situation he bemoaned.

Comrade Asher added, "it is only when the NDC is in power that the security matters of the country are stabilized".

A typical example, he stated that the Ashaiman Underbridge has become a terrifying point of attack, the point which was not scary to walk through.

Citing 1969-1972 during the reign of  Busia, he said what Ghanaians experienced then is what is going on now adding, "they are the same people".
