The Central Regional Secretary of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Madam Cynthia Sam Ananoo, has called on government to stop the International Monetary Fund (IMF)  programme since it can't take the  country out from economy crisis which the country is experiencing. 
She observed that history of the engagement with the IMF provides ample evidence that IMF sponsored programme and policies can not change the economic which is burden on Ghanaians.
He pointed tha the IMF bailout is not serving any purpose to the country’s economy. 
Speaking at the May Day celebration in Saltpond, the capital of the Mfantesman municipality of the Central Region, she stressed that even though the money had not yet received but there's a conditional to freeze public sector which will make it difficult for the youth to be employed. 
Madam Ananoo urged the government to show leadership by  reducing the size of his  ministers in government as well as expenditures on non essentials including the need to stop spending, saying Ghana has too many ministers and deputies. 
The Central Regional Minister Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan on her part appealed to organiser Labour to use dialogue to demand  better conditions of service for workers and unions should be able to resolve all labour related disputes amicably through negotiations and contrastive dialogue in order not to worsen the scarious economic situation.
She revealed government will do well to keep faith with all Ghanaian workers by providing their needs and general welfare.
