Gyeankontabuo School gets support from health minister’s wife after Soiree News reportage
Mrs. Suzzy Agyeman Manu, the wife of the health minister-designate Kwaku Agyemang Manu, has donated 5 packets of roofing sheets, 30 bags of cement, to support a building project of Gyeankontabuo Primary School.
Mrs. Suzzy Agyeman Manu, the wife of the health minister-designate Kwaku Agyemang Manu, has donated 5 packets of roofing sheets, 30 bags of cement, to support a building project of Gyeankontabuo dilapidated PrimarySchool.
The support was triggered following a report by SN24 News yesterday, Thursday 25th February 2021 that stated that Pupils at Gyeankontabuo primary school, a basic school in a farming community in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region, study under deplorable conditions.
The report said they sit on cement blocks as chairs in a dilapidated structure.
The report came to light during a visit to the school by a delegation from the camp of Mrs. Suzy Agyeman Manu to share nose masks with pupils and teachers.
Mrs. Suzzy Agyeman Manu upon seeing the report however bought 5 packets of roofing sheets, 30 bags of cement, presented the items to them today, 26th February 2021 to start the construction of a classroom block for the school.
Despite the donations the Headmaster for Gyeankontabuo Basic School Mr. Habib Shiabu has expressed that as a matter of urgency, the Government of Ghana, stakeholders, and philanthropists should assist in the development of the school.
