Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has made a topical reference that it is too early to make a decision between his side and Liverpool as to who would win the Premier League title, talkSPORTS reveal.

Liverpool will look do better following their uninspiring run of performances at the Etihad with the recent happening during Project Restart when they lost by 5-0 after already crowned Champions of the League.

Liverpool enter the fixture topping the League table with 16 points whiles the former Champions are 11th with a match in hand.

The manager addressed the need to focus one game after the other since there are lots of fixtures to play. He added that irrespective of the result between the Citizens and City, it is too early to decide the winner of the elite title.

“It is an important game but, like the presidential elections in the USA, all the votes must be counted – there are a lot of points to play for.”

Asked if Sergio Aguero would be able to feature against the Reds after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. The manager said, “No, he is not ready, not yet.”

He added that “It's always nice to play against the strongest teams and last year they were stronger.

“They are an exceptional team, they have had the same manager for a long time and it is nice to face him all the time to improve our level.”
