Doctor of Devinus Herbal Clinic at Ahenema Kokoben in the Ashanti Region, Dr Ruth Agyei has asserted that a better cure for coronavirus would have been produced if the government of Ghana relied on indigenous herbal doctors to come out with an antidote.

According to her, Ghana is endowed with rich natural medicines capable of putting an end to any infection yet the government’s failure to support the local manufacturers, despising their competency makes it look like the westerners are proficient but the other way round.

“Ghanaians have herbal medicines which are effective in healing. Lots of people can testify that indeed our indigenous herbs have saved their lives and there is the need for government to sanction the full function the orthodox medicines.

“I am very optimistic that we have good medicine in Ghana naturally made by God. The government should accept the effective function of herbal medicines, especially in such a covid-19 era. There are a lot of herbal medicines to help fight the virus but I just don’t know why the government is not recognizing our efforts.

“We are also capable and could save lives. There are immune boosters here in Africa to fight the disease and he has to give us a chance,” she added.

Ghana on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, received 600,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine made by the Serum Institute of India to help fight the coronavirus pandemic which has crippled the world’s economy. A lot of Ghanaians interviewed by Soireenews have expressed diverse concerns on the immunization which will take place on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

The Central Regional Traditional Healers Association earlier asked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to help them develop an antidote to fight the coronavirus pandemic, an approach they believe the local herbs can help achieve if the Government of Ghana supports them instead of relying on western approach.

Supporting the notion, Dr Ruth Agyei told that it’s not just about the coronavirus cure, but considerable attention must be given to herbal medicine producers especially those with legal license operating as specialists to be a part of the Ghana Health Service to balance the healing process of patients in the various government hospitals.

She attested that lots of patients do not require orthodox specialist regarding their health but because herbalists are not recognized much, they have no option than to adhere to the western remedies which worsen their well-being.

“I plead to the government that if hospitals have an attachment of orthodox services, herbal facilities should be provided to support the health needs of patients, for instance, a herbal doctor and an orthodox can work to achieve one aim in one hospital.”

She spoke about her new product on the market, Devinus Ahomka Herbal Capsules and Devinus D. Brek Herbal approved and certified by the Food and Drugs Authority.

Dr Ruth affirmed that the Devinus Ahomka Herbal Capsules is able to take care of Cough and Cold.

She updated that Devinus D. Brek Herbal is for the general wellbeing.

She, therefore, called on Ghanaians to embrace the traditional certified medicines to improve their health.
