An American Business Man in Ghana and Executive Director of Alafei Foods Limited, Mr. Claude David Convisser has called on the Government of Ghana to distance it's self from the US- Ghana Defense Training Treaty to avoid terrorists attack.

He implored Government to reverse the agreement if the deal has already been actualized.

Mr Claude stated that failure on the part of the leadership of Ghana to discontinue the ongoing deal process would attract terror group's into the country.

Briefing Journalists in Tamale about his intelligence in relation to the US-Ghana Defense Training Treaty, Mr Claude said the agreement has no benefit for Ghana.

According to him, Ghana bearing a tag of US military training base will automatically become a target of any US adversary in the instance of military confrontations.

"If they attack here, I will be heart broken I love here, I love the people of the North and Ghana at large, so am appealing to the political leadership of Ghana to withdraw from the deal as soon as possible".

He revealed that Northern Region has been earmarked for the Defense Training ground, and that, the Tamale International Airport will be used for the importation of equipment for the training.

Mr Claude further noted that Northern Region is closer to the countries where the terrorist operates, and Tamale will be a target for any terror activities.

He, therefore, appealed to the Ghanaian authority to consider withdrawing from the US-Ghana Defense Training agreement with immediate effect to free Ghana from any possible attack.

According to him, Ghana is a beautiful place to live, thus that he can't afford to see its citizens suffer as a result of the deal.
