Government is paying the fees so attend to other needs”-DCE to parents.

The District Chief Executive of Jaman North, Hon Solomon Owusu has pleaded with parents who have their wards in the various public schools across the country to be much concerned about the education of their wards.

He wants parents to play their role by providing their wards with the necessary schooling and learning items to facilitate their education as the government is taking care of the school fees.
“Be much concerned about your ward’s education in the public school as you do for those in private schools to achieve the same results”, he stressed.
The DCE affirmed that access to public education is currently free hence other responsibilities such as the provision of decent uniforms for school and other basic needs of the children must be of great concern to parents.
The DCE made this appeal when he visited some schools to celebrate my first day at school with the newly promoted class one people in the district.
Hon Solomon Owusu is wondering why parents attach more seriousness to the warfare of their wards in private schools than those in public schools.
“I still don’t understand why parents don’t respect the public schools, they will adhere to all financial responsibilities of a private school but same parents will watch their wards in public schools attend school in tattered and even refuse to buy them learning materials”, he questioned.
He however wants parents to desist from the act to help their wards compete the private schools.
However,  the Headmaster of Jankufa R/C primary school in the Jaman North District Mr Konadu James appreciated the effort of the DCE for recognizing their school.
He further appealed to him that the school is in dire need of renovation of their classrooms, also computers amongst other learning materials.
“We are grateful for your visit and we want to make a passionate appeal to your humble office to consider a renovation of our school and the provision of other learning materials such as computers, etc in your next project”, he stated
