A 56-year-old Ghanaian businessman who lives in the United States of America (USA) has been installed the new chief of Gomoa Nyanyano, a community in the Central Region

He has been installed under the stool name Nana Doudo Wiabo VI.

The installation of the new chief was performed by the kingmakers and elders for him to succeed the late chief, Dr. Nana Wiabo V who died in August 2020.

Speaking an interview with Soireenews.com, after his installation Nana Doudo Wiabo VI outlined his plan for the people of Gomoa Nyanyano community.

He expressed his appreciation to the various kingmakers and elders for their efforts to perform the customary rites to install and outdoor him as the new chief and called for their support in his quest to bring socio-economic development to the area.

The chief further assured that with the support of his elders and people, he will forge a society where dreams are possible and create an enabling environment that empowers every Gomoa Nyanyano citizen to realize their goals.

“But as your new leader, I am mindful of the many challenges that will confront us. Gomoa Nyanyano's challenges are real but we will deal with them. Our challenges may not be easy to overcome, but we will mobilize our strength to overtake each of them. With your help, we will fight Gomoa Nyanyano’s greatest enemies - youth unemployment, poverty, disease, and underdevelopment,” the chief stated.

He disclosed his readiness and determination to collaborate with the stakeholders both in-home and in the diaspora to venture into job creation to absorb the majority of the unemployed youth in the area.

He stressed that he would work assiduously with elders, opinion leaders, and youth to bring development to the area through health and education.
