Gomoa Nyanyano Installs New Chief
The long awaited tradition became necessary after the Gomoa Nyanyano was without a chief for one and half year after their late chief, Nana Duodu Wiabo VI being predecessor of Nana Addy Wiabo VII passed on .

The people of Gomoa Nyanyano in the Central Region have held a lavish ceremony to outdoor Nana Addy Wiabo VII as their new Odikro.
The long awaited tradition became necessary after the Gomoa Nyanyano was without a chief for one and half year after their late chief, Nana Duodu Wiabo VI being predecessor of Nana Addy Wiabo VII passed on .
The rite was performed by the Kingmakers including the chief priest Nana Benyin Osofo, Abusuapanyin Nana Kwasi Mensah, Tufuhene Nana Keao Brebo II, Asafohene Kuntu Blankson and all the Royal Family members who has the capacity to choose and install a chief
Speaking to the media after the performance of the traditional rites, the Asafohene for Gomoa Nyanyano Nana Kuntu Blankson said all the necessary issues which delayed the installation of the Odikro were addressed at the Gomoa Assin Traditional council presided over by the president of the council Obirifo Ahor Ahunuako Ankobea II before the wonderful traditional rites were performed.
He noted that the event held at the Gomoa Nyanyano palace was witnessed by people from all walks of life in the community.
The Asafohene prayed for progress of
Gomoa Nyanyano and expressed hope that the emergence of the new chief with bring development and attract good things to the catchment area.
Nana Kuntu Blankson has appealed to everyone to support the newly installed chief Nana Addy Wiabo VII to move Gomoa Nyanyano forward and more development.
The head of family for Aboradze Royal Family Abusuapanyin Nana Kwasi Mensah and the rest of the Kingmakers also gave thanks to God for this day, saying it's the Almighty God who crown Kings and Raises Leaders.
They expressed appreciation to the people of Nyanyano for making this day a successful one.
Abusuapanyin Nana Kwasi Mensah pointed out that, the Gomoa Nyanyano stool land is not and will never be under Gomoa Fetteh stool.
The Tufuhene Kwao Awotwe Brebo (V) who performed most of the tradition in installing the Odikro called for unity and peace to promote development.
He has charged the newly installed Odikro to maintain peace and solve all litigations in Gomoa Nyanyano to foster peace and development.
Finally, the newly Enstooled Odikro of Gomoa Nyanyano Nana Addy Wiabo VII has pledged to fight for more development in the area.
Gomoa Nyanyano is located in the Gomoa East District of Central Region near Kasoa
with population of over 40,000 inhabitants but access to good road network and other social amenities have become a major challenge over the years
He bemoaned over over the bad nature and deplorable state of their road network linking Milinium city junction to Gomoa Nyanyano township.
He has however called on the government led by Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo to fix the road which serves over 40,000 people in the area.
In addition, Nana Addy Wiabo VII stated that, potable drinking water, Secondary school, unemployment are some of the challenges facing the community hence the call.
