Gomoa Fetteh Needs Technical and Vocational School -Gomoa Akyempim Chiefs Appeal To Akufo-Addo

Paramount Chief (Omanhene) of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area, Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II advised all the divisional chiefs and custodian land owners under his kingdom to stop wasting monies to pay for  the lawyers to win chieftaincy and land dispute cases and entreated them to rather use such monies to develop their communities.

Chiefs and people of the Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area in the Central Region, has appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo through the Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum to provide them with Technical and Vocational School to be located at Gomoa Fetteh, which he believes will help to reduce the unemployment rate in the country.
The Twafohene of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area who doubles as the  Divisional chief of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Abori Atta Il on the chiefs and people noted that the school would help the youth to go through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to young people with the skills that will make them employable, enhance their livelihoods, and create wealth.
Nana Abori Atta Il made this call when  Nananom and people of Gomoa Fetteh Traditional Area held the 2022 edition of Ahobaakese festival at Gomoa Fetteh with the theme:"Coming Together for Peace and Development."
For his part the Paramount Chief (Omanhene) of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area, Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II advised all the divisional chiefs and custodian land owners under his kingdom to stop wasting monies to pay for  the lawyers to win chieftaincy and land dispute cases and entreated them to rather use such monies to develop their communities.
According to Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II, he observed that the long continuous practices of pursuing lands and chieftaincy cases in the law court by the chiefs and elders of the villages and towns under Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area have been retarding socio-economic development and growth their communities stressing that it is now the time the chiefs (Nananom) to use amicable ways to solve their issues than sending every cases to court.
"Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council has a lot of Chieftaincy disputes and land litigations in the whole of Central Region but thank God peace is gradually prevailing," he said
Against this backdrop, the Omanhene of the Traditional Council called on chiefs (Nananom) to embrace peace and fight for developments such as schools, health centers and others for their Communities.
Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II made these statements disclosed when  Nananom and people of Gomoa Fetteh Traditional Area held the 2022 edition of Ahobaakese festival at Gomoa Fetteh with the theme:"Coming Together for Peace and Development."
He has however, called for peace and unity amongst chiefs and people of Gomoa Fetteh in order to foster development.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East Assembly, Mr. Solomon Darko Quarm delivering his keynote address announced that, the government is putting proper measures in place to establish Salt Factory in Gomoa Fetteh under the One District-One-Factory (1-D1-F) programme at the end of 2024.
He disclosed that the Gomoa East District assemble also donated GH¢5,000 to support the building of nurses bungalows for the heath workers.
