The Member Of Parliament (MP) for of Gomoa East  Constituency, Honorable Desmond De-Graft Paitoo
The Member Of Parliament (MP) for of Gomoa East  Constituency, Honorable Desmond De-Graft Paitoo is for the second time in his two (2) years granting financial assistance to more than sixty five(65) JHS graduands who are yet to enter Second Cycle Institutions (SHS).
According to him, education is the key to development of every household, community and the Nation as a whole.
Therefore, being a leader who thinks about the well-being of his constituents at heart, he wishes to lessen the burdens of the parents within his Constituency.
The presentation took place at Salvation Army Church at Gomoa Akotsi  yesterday.
The number of students who have been listed to benefit from this kind gesture is more than *lsixty five(65), who were selected from every corner of the constituency.
Most of the beneficiaries called on the Member Of Parliament through their parents/guardians for such assistance due to the financial constraints they have been going through as a results of the economic woes in the country.
The MP  being a listening leader, he has religiously agreed to offer them their requests because helping to uplift the standard of education in his constituency was part of his 2016 & 2020 electioneering promises
Hon. Desmond De-Graft Kwesi Paitoo started granting financial assistance to students within his jurisdiction in the year 2021 immediately after his swearing in as the Member Of Parliament.
In 2021, many students from Tertiary and Second cycle Institutions benefited when it was initiated.
He added that the school is free but the rate of how the schools are telling the students to buy their things to school is very high and not encouraging so GES should do something about it some of the parents and their children who received the money thanks Hon Desmond for his support
