Gomoa Dominase: Onion Sellers seek government assistance in Social Amenities

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should immediately provide them with the needed social amenities to improve their living conditions in the market.

Onion sellers/traders at the Gomoa Dominase market in the Central Regional are appealing to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to immediately provide them with the needed social amenities to improve their living conditions in the market.

Consequently, the visibly worried traders 
called on the central government to provide them with street lights, public toilets, water, and speed ramps to check the speed limits of the drivers plying Kasoa- Winneba Highway.

Exactly one year ago when Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr.Henry Quartey removed Onion sellers/ traders from Agbogbloshie

After the evacuation, some of the onion Sellers went to Adjen Kotoku in the Greater Accra Region while others relocated to Gomoa Dominase in the Central Region.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com, to narrate their ordeal, the leaders and some market women of Gomoa Dominase Onion Sellers revealed that, they are crying due to a lack of social amenities.

Some of them also complained bitterly that, the majority of their members are dying through accidents due to the lack of speed ramps on that portion of the road.

They disclosed this when the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Chief Executive Officer of  Accra Metropolitan (AMA), and Central Regional Minister visited them after one year of relocation.

For his part, the Central Regional Minister, Honorable Justina Marigold Assan pledged to work hard to construct public toilets for them as well as the other needs.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister Henry Quartey pledged to provide them with 30  streets Light, and 20 light poles and collaborate with the Central Regional Minister and Highways to construct speed ramps on the portion of the road to reduce the death toll.
