GoGrace: Why You MUST Celebrate Your BIRTHDAY

Every pagan idea was God's, stolen from Heaven by Satan. He wanted to corrupt man from sound doctrines of Abba Father which were not yet implemented because man was not created.

When I was young, the idea about birthday celebrations was rendered by my family as unnecessary. My parents made the entire scene look like a 'waste of time' and attributed that to rick kids whose parents seem to have no clue about what to do with money.

Indeed, I purchased the idea and as I grew up, I had a different perspective about Birthday celebrants. I sometimes thought, “These people are wasting their time and know not what to use their money for”. I really enclaved myself in my parent's idea very well. As time pass by, I honestly realized that I have personally put out of mind the day I was born and my age. My witch-hunt idea rather began coiling me to deny myself and embrace the knowledge of who I am in Christ. Weird it was. The friends that came my way had the same philosophy and we refuse to give in to such days.

I realized some time ago that I was not the only one hunting against birthday happiness but quite a lot of people. The weirdest but fascinating side of the story was that I noticed one thing. All the protestors of the birthday celebration were broke. We had a pinhole in our pockets and could not afford three square meals a day. In fact, we also realized that our parents installed the feature of such an event in us because they were needy and could not allocate it on their scale of preference.

Hatred against things we have no clue of.

But why Birthday?

According to research, The idea of celebrating the date of your birth is a pagan tradition. In fact, many Christians did not celebrate birthdays historically, because of that link to paganism. Pagans thought that evil spirits lurked on days of major changes, like the day you turn a year older. The ancient Greeks believed that each person had a spirit that attended his or her birth, and kept watch. That spirit “had a mystic relation with the God on whose birthday the individual was born,” says the book The Lore of Birthdays.

That is what they say.

Every pagan idea was God's stolen from Heaven by Satan. He wanted to corrupt man from sound doctrines of God,  not yet implemented because the man was not created. When he fell, and man sinned, he brought them all into practice. No wonder you see people preaching against Christmas and calling it an abomination. Our intent is towards God and as far as we (believers) have the mind of Christ, our actions generated from or thoughts are pure and undefiled before God therefore we celebrate and attest to the fact that indeed, Jesus has given us a life worth acknowledging.

Ask yourself, when people begin to attribute glorious moments to demons, does that not make them demon followers. Surely. It takes a person with the Spirit of God to discern the things of God and act as one. Likewise!

It is needful and demanding for every individual, especially Christians to rejoice on our birthdays to redefine ourselves. Celebrating your birthday is like walking to Jesus and asking him, “Brother, how do I look?” with all attentiveness waiting to hear a positive reply to the question.

Sometimes, hypocrisy sets in and we run from people who appreciate our best to the more demeaning ones for virtual worlds. The truth is one, our soul seeks to prosper in moments like that.

Celebrating your birthday does not require millions but your preparedness. As believers, when we come together with the saints and make known the number of our years, the wishes is fulfilling enough to the soul. Words are Spirit and Life. Therefore, when someone even whispers, “Long live my dear,” spiritually, long life is accredited to the prosperity of your soul. It is all about family so whether it’s your family in Christ or earthly family, there is nothing to worry about. Just cut your coat according to your size.

Celebrating Birthdays defines and reveals the best of us. When was the time you revealed the best laugh from your heart and gave your best dance? When did you interpret your childhood and prophesy the beauty of your future? It was the day you felt loved and gave the perfect smile. That was your birthday.

Everything on this day comes deeply from our soul and appreciates the tapestry work of our God. Our existence on planet earth, from a remote village by ‘destitute’ parents is discovered on such a day and we acknowledge Jesus for our existence on earth. As you have fun and accept the wishes, it is an act of proclaiming a better year ahead. Your soul is refreshed and your path is straightened.

Birthday celebrations heal family wounds and reconcile us to people we are in conflicts especially parents. You cannot enjoy yourself on birthdays when you have abandoned the mother and father through whom your passage to planet earth was possible. Describing your life and putting it into account can never be done without recognizing your parents whether dead or alive, worse or better, rich or poor, and fit or incapacitated. Their account is an inscription upon your life as a result of that, when there is a broken relationship, restoration must occur as you journey on the line of your birth.

Birthdays surrounding broken relationships is Beck's day.

How proud it is to announce to your friends and family that “I am 29 years of age.” It is a declaration of where you are and what you will get in life. Hiding your age and tallying it with +1 is corrupt. Concealing your age in the light is like hiding your identity. When people know your age through your Birthday, they appreciate God for life and appeal for an abundance of Grace on your behalf.

Why do the atmosphere transform and the world harmonize during Christmas? Because celebrating Jesus is life-transforming so if you are a follower and an imitator of Jesus, are you not transformed when you acknowledge the day you were born. Come out from your weariness and let Jesus be the King over your life. Runaway from certain ‘kabbalah’ fallacies and embrace the beautiful person of Jesus Christ. In Him is LIFE.

You must celebrate that day.
