Godwin Ako Gunn Writes: If You Cannot Sack The Finance  Minister, Just Shut Up, Ghanaians  Are Not Idiot

It's sometimes nauseating when people in authority behave as if they are talking to a group of unwise or senseless people. "You have fucked up", let's all help get out of this quagmire in peace, not with this arrogant posturing.

It's sometimes nauseating when people in authority behave as if they are talking to a group of unwise or senseless people. "You have fucked up", let's all help get out of this quagmire in peace, not with this arrogant posturing.
I saw a list of deployment for damage control on the decision to go back to International Monetary Fund (IMF). I don't envy them, especially when they have warned their communicators not to show up for any program if they can not defend it. Sadly Ken Agyapong has already let the cat out of the bag.
What I cannot fathom from this image rescue team is their attempt to whitewash Nana Addo and the finance minister. To what end?
Fact is, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and his junior brother Ken Ofori Atta couldn't manage the economy of Ghana for just 3 years after IMF left Ghana!!! I have never seen such uselessness before. Pardon my french.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, leader of the praise team, said, the finance minister  managed Ghana prudently from 2017 until the covid pandemic and the Russian/Ukraine war. This can't be true
In 2017, Ghana was still under an IMF program. The headmaster was around. Under Nana Addo, IMF program was extended  till the middle of 2019 in which they took full control of the economy, and this was celebrated with kenkey and waakye party.
After the IMF program, instead of maintaining the financial discipline, their taste changed and begun hiring private jets, buying more V8 vehicles and allocating some for presidential chairs and axe for sod cutting. Even birthday cakes were E-levy designed to spite us in the face.
Senseless withdrawals for a cathedral, some party folks for campaign, Chiefs Akwasidae celebrations, and trips for family and friends outside Ghana.
Simply put, Nana Addo and his NPP couldn't manage Ghana by themselves for just 3 years !!!
We are back to another IMF program and let me reiterate, there is nothing wrong with seeking assistance from IMF, an organization we are proudly part of. The problem we have at hand is the arrogance, pride and  stupid comments some of them made when the NDC went for policy credibility. It's humbling when chicken come home to roost, but not with the NPP. They will die in their mess.
It's always good to say sorry, or quickly admit when you go wrong, than to have eggs in your face
On a more serious note, can I find out why the president can not reshuffle his cabinet and ministers after such an abysmal performance?  Why should the finance minister be the one leading the negotiation, when he couldn't even defend his own expenditure on covid before parliament.
Anyway, Let me mind my business, probably, the alternatives in the party may equally be hollow.*
I can only wish the NPP well in the negotiations, as we pray for better days ahead.
