GNTDA Wenchi Zone A Received Industrial Machines From MP
The Member of Parliament for Wenchi Constituency, Honorable Alhaji Haruna Seidu has presented eight straight sewing machines and five knitting machines to the Wenchi Zone A. Chapter of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA).

The Member of Parliament for Wenchi Constituency, Honorable Alhaji Haruna Seidu has presented eight straight sewing machines and five knitting machines to the Wenchi Zone A. Chapter of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA).
The items were made available to the association on a hire purchase basis after the association has made part payment while the balance would be spread over some time.
Making the presentation on behalf of the MP by the Wenchi Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who is also an Assembly Member for Kokroko Electoral Area, Hon. Sina Shehu Wahab popularly known as S. S Wahab said the industrial machines will facilitate the work of the tailors and dressmakers in the Wenchi constituency.
He advised the leadership of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association to take good care of the machines and charged the beneficiaries to adhere to the payment schedule to make it possible for more members to also benefit from the scheme.
Mr. Umari Ibrahim Barro, the Chairman of Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association, expressed gratitude to the Lawmaker for the gesture of making their dreams come through by the scheme
He said the industrial machines would help them facilitate their work and also help cushion their service rendering to their customers.
He appealed for the establishment of a resource center and a meeting place.
One straight sewing machine is costing GH¢ 1,700.00 while each knitting machine is costing GH¢ 2,200 making it a cost of GH¢ 3,900.
In all the eight straight sewing machines and five knitting machines were purchased at a total cost of GH¢ 50,700.00.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude to the MP for his quick intervention.
“It would have taken me years to quire this machine but through this scheme, I was have been able to get them within a short period, thank you to the MP for his swift intervention”, one beneficiary joyfully expressed.
