The Wenchi Municipal Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service of the Bono Region has exceeded the target of 100 percent to 109 percent in the just ended nationwide in polio vaccination excercise.

The excercise which begins on Thursday October 6 ended on Sunday October 9, 20222.

Thomas Sarfo, Officer in charge of needed Programme on Immunization at the Wenchi Municipal Health Directorate disclosed to soireenews.com John Anfreh that the municipality had an estimated target of 28,222 but by the end of the campaign they were able to vaccinate a total of thirty thousand one hundred and sixty-seven ( 30,137) children.

He was very excited that Wenchi Municipality has exceeded its target.

Mr. Thomas Sarfo thanked the health professionals for their dedication to duty.

He also commended parents and guardians for making their children available for a successful exercise.
