The reality is that Africans, particularly Ghanaians, are infamously devout, and religion permeates all aspects of life to the point where it is difficult or impossible to isolate it.

In his groundbreaking book African Religions and Philosophy, Kenyan philosopher and Anglican priest John Mbiti penned these lines in 1969.

Coincidentally, Sony Achiba, a singer, echoed that most recently in the "Adwuma Adwuma" program studios of Onua FM with Felicia Osei.

Sony Achiba asserts that Ghana's people and government have given up on logic in favor of pleading with God for guidance on matters that call for common sense, and that nothing will change until God is accorded His rightful position in the country's affairs.

Recall that Emmanuel John Bandick Dankwa, better known as Sony Achiba, is a British hip-hop dancer and musician who was born in Ghana. He is the first musician from Ghana to mix Indian, Indian hi-life, and hip-hop styles of music.
