The Police Administration in Ghana has denied reports that it is undertaking a recruitment exercise.

The Police Administration in Ghana has denied reports that it is undertaking a recruitment exercise.
A notice circulating on social media suggests that the service has created portal to undertake recruitment exercises across the country.
However, the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent of Police (SP), Mrs Sheilla Kessie Abayie Buckman said the report is false and should be disregarded and warned the general public against this social media information.
He said the information circulating on social is not from the police administration.
"The Police Administration's attention has been drawn to a story making the rounds on social media to the effect that the Police have created protocol recruitment neither has authorized any individual or group  within or outside the Ghana Police Service to recruit into the Service, and wishes to entreat the public to disregard it.
"The public are hereby advised to disregard this information that police is on Twitter in order not to fall victims to schemes of criminals," she said.
She urged anyone with information on the perpetrators of the scam to report to the nearest Police Station.
