Ghana has been assigned to Group E in the AFCON 2023 qualifiers.

In the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Black Stars will face 2019 debutants Madagascar, Angola, and the Central African Republic.

The four-time African champions will qualify for the Ivory Coast tournament if they finish in the top two of their group, but they are expected to win it.

The draw for next year's edition of the continent's showpiece competition took place on Tuesday evening in the SuperSport studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The top two teams in Group E will qualify for the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Cote d'Ivoire.

The qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations next year are set to begin in June 2022.
