GFPD calls on Akufo-Addo to maintain Sunyani West MCE

The Bono Regional branch of Ghana Federation of People Living with Disability (GFPD) is calling on President Akufo-Addo to maintain the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sunyani West Mr. Martin Obeng in his second term.
According to them, Mr. Martin Obeng distinguished himself well in the first term of the New Patriotic Party as the MCE and is fit to continue representing the President in the municipality.
They said, Martin Obeng is caring and relates well with everyone irrespective of one’s political affiliation, which they said, manifested in the NPP’s performance in the 2020 general elections.
According to the group, any attempt to change him will not merit the true will of the Chiefs and the general citizenry of Sunyani West.
They said, if for some reason the President can not maintain him as the MCE, then he should elevate him to a new and higher position in his new government.
Speaking on Ark FM day news monitored by Soiree News, Financial Secretary for the Federation Nii Kwei said they have petitioned the President over their concern and hoping it will meet his kind consideration.
