Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Bono Regional Education Service Directorate (GES), Luke Mensah has called on junior high school graduates who could not get admission into senior high school through either direct or self computer placement system to take advantage of the rescheduled school reopening date to do so.

According to him, most of the JHS graduates in the Region could not prepare well ahead of the reopening date or could not find their preferred schools on the platform when they accessed it.

The Management of the Ghana Education Service through a press release has announced the rescheduling of the SHS1 school reopening date from 10th to 18th through to 21st March 2021.

It explained that "this ample time will allow parents to prepare their wards and it will give ample time for the management of the service to receive them".

Speaking to Luke Mensah in an interview with Kwabena Obeng Akrofi today on Ark in the Morning monitored by Soiree News Bono Regional Correspondent Nana Ama Asiedu, he stated that, most of the schools in the Bono Region were missing on the platform in the first 3 days for self-placement; which hindered some students from selecting their preferred schools but has been rectified for students to do within this period.

He assured that every passed student would be admitted as the system has an exceeding vacancy for over 30,000 students.

The Bono GES PRO urged students to ensure they would be present during headcount to help management make provisions for their stay on campus.
