Germany Supports Ghana To Enhance Employment In Three Bono Regions

To enhance employment promotion in the three Bono Regions, the Germany Development Cooperation in Ghana together with the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relation launches capacity building project for the Labour Departments on Migration and Employment Promotion Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions.

The project is set to enhance employment promotion, migration counselling and reintegration support services provided by public employment centres in the three Bono Regions.
The training served to present the project to the public and bring together actors from educational, private, administrative, civil society, media and academic sectors to engage and forge alliances to tackle unemployment challenges jointly.

Senior  National Programme's Coordinator for  Programme Migration for Development, Mr David Tetteh in an interview with Soiree News Nana Anfreh said, the main goal of the joint project is to support and equip the Regional Labour Offices and Public Employment Centers of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations in Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions to become well equipped, sustainable and effective operation units to provide advisory services, counselling, career guidance.
It will also implement active labour market interventions for the local population, potential labour migrants and returning migrants.
