The activities of Fulani herdsmen over the years have become a major concern for residents in parts of the Ashanti, Eastern and Volta regions. Some of these Fulani herdsmen have been accused of raping their victims, destroying farms and even murdering others.

Residents in the Biakoye District have purportedly suffered from the heinous activities of some Fulani herdsmen. It is against this backdrop that a DISEC meeting was organised by the Assembly to find a lasting solution to the problem.

The District Chief Executive, Comfort Attah expressed worry about the activities of some herdsmen and their cattle in the District. She mentioned that it was imperative, stakeholders of the community collaborate to quell the menace.
