A 25-year-old, Gyan John has lost one of his left fingers during an armed robbery attack at Atebubu.

The unfortunate incident occurred at the Star Oil Fuel Station where the victim works as an attendee at the said fuel station.

According to several reports, fuel stations within the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality have been targeted by armed robbers recently.

It will be recalled that, just last three weeks,  WAPCO Fuel Station at Kwame Danso, where a worker was shot by the perpetrators.

Narrating his ordeal to the media, Gyan John said the incident occurred around 7:30 pm, according to him he was initially approached by one of the armed robbers who was wielding a stick and later another one with a gun joined his counterpart.

"When I was about to confront the holding the stick, another one with a gun also came and he told me not to run"

"I tried to call the attention of the security personnel at the post but got shot in the process since I was closed to him, I was able to block the bullet with my hands while tilting my head, the bullet hit my hands and scrap my face". He narrated.

To save his life, Gyan John's affected hand was cut off at the hospital.
