The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Suame Constituency, Francis Dodovi has spoken that Nana Addo’s Free Senior High School Policy does not put food on the table for families.

He explained that when the economy is in a better condition, parents would be financially sound enough to cater for their wards without calling for government’s aid. He has also assured residents of Suame Municipality of improved infrastructure when he is voted into power in the 2020 elections.

The Party Executives led by the Ashanti Regional Chairman in the Suame Municipality acclaimed Francis Dodovi on Saturday, November 2, 2019 as the Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC. He will contest the Majority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, Hon. Kyei Mensah Bonsu which leaves him big boots to fill and alarms him of greater work to do.

At a gathering of NDC faithfuls on Saturday, Francis pledged to the people of better living with improved education, better roads and well-equipped health materials if they elect him to represent their interest. He has also declared to help the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama secure a maximum number of votes in Suame Municipality to help the party reclaim the presidential seat.

“Suame is much compared to a village after years of thrusting power into the hands of Hon. Kyei Mensah Bonsu and the New Patriotic Party. Our roads need fixing; inhabitants are facing challenges with trade at Suame Magazine and a lot to be talked about including school and education.

“Everything seems to be fading away but I’m glad to be leading the NDC party in such a moment. I will unseat him and win majority of the votes for His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

“I will provide better jobs and make Magazine a stable place of trade for business men and women,” he said in a press briefing.

Mr. Francis Dodovi spoke that his campaign team have no ‘reposing’ time, as a door-to-door campaign will soon be embarked especially at the Suame Magazine for people to reflect on the good governance of former president Mahama and vote him back to power.

“A revision on former President Mahama’s policies that generated monies into people’s pocket will be exercised in order to outline the deceitfulness of Nana Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party. Free Education does not put food on the table for children. This is all as a result of poor governance by the NPP,” he said.

The Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman, Mr. Augustus Nana Akwasi called for much work to be done to make the NDC victorious in the Suame Constituency.

“He (Francis Dodovi) is a hardworking man hence is acclamation as the Parliamentary Candidate for Suame. Stripping off power from the NPP at Suame takes a lot of effort and we believe that even if we don’t win, Francis Dodovi will lead us to extend our votes this time,” he said.
