Fight Over Dog Meat Lands Man In Dealth  At Assin Atwereboa Committee Secretary, Two Others Arrested

The Assin Praso Police Command in the Central Region has arrested a 49-year-old Kume Dzina Thomas a.k.a Sankara for allegedly killing Mr. Daniel Akoto a.k.a Abrantie, 46, over a misunderstanding on dog meat Assin Atwereboanda in the Assin North District.

In this news outlet, a brother of the suspect confronted the deceased over his missing dog.
In reaction, the deceased told Kwame that his brother Sankara invited him to a dog meat sewing party but he refused to partake in it.
This is because he doesn't know the source of the dog therefore he should ask his brother the whereabouts of his missing dog.
The suspect who got infuriated by the revelation confronted the deceased with a stick and in the process of the altercation hit him with it.
The deceased who was bleeding profusely through his nose and ears reported the case to the unit committee members of the area.
On their way to the hospital, the deceased died and they returned home to bury him illegally on the same day.
The District Police Commander of Assin Praso DSP Moses Osakonorconfirmed the incident and said the unit Committee secretary, Swanzy Lumpur and Gideon Zorve, who is also the brother of the deceased have also been arrested for masterminding the burial without authorization of the police and the court.
They are however on a manhunt for the chief and elders of the community for releasing the land for the burial without following due process.
Adding that an exhumation order from the court will be secured for the body to be exhumed to undergo autopsy as part of the investigation.
