Yaw Tog has opened about his excitement for his dream-like Stormzy collaboration.

The artiste admitted that he understands the gravity of his collaboration with Stormzy on his "Sore" remix track.

According to him, it was a big deal for Ghana music as a whole.

Stormzy and Yaw Tog had both performed on stage at the UPP Festival for a performance back on the 1st of January, 2021.

They shortly announced that they would be coming together for Yaw Tog's "Sore" remix.

The 2020 Brit Award for British Male Solo Artist winner travelled to Kumasi, alongside Kwesi Arthur to shoot visuals for the remix of ‘Sore.‘

“It was a big deal for me. Even now, I can’t express how I feel about it,”

“For the pedigree of who Stormzy is and everything he has done, it’s a great feeling for sure, and it’s always loved for Stormzy from me,” he said.

Yaw Tog revealed that his popularity ratings had shifted dramatically after the feature.

“It’s been great on one hand, but also my life has changed! There’ve been many things that have just happened for me since that time that I am still processing."

"These days, I can’t even do the normal things I used to do before because people recognize me. It’s a little stressful, but I’m managing it as best as I can,” he said.

Yaw Tog is a hip hop artist from Ghana. He is best known for his 2020 single 'Sore', which features colleagues O‘kenneth, City Boy, Reggie and Jay Bahd.

Soon after its release, 'Sore' peaked at Number 1 on the Apple Music Ghana Top 100 chart. It is also considered a pivotal contribution to the emerging drill scene which started in Ghana's Ashanti regional capital of Kumasi.
