Excavator operator killed at mining site in the Ashanti Region
A security man was shot during a raid by unknown assailants at the mining site

A 30-year-old man, identified as Richard Arthur, has been killed by two unidentified men at Attabrakoso, a community near Jacobu in the Ashanti Region.
The robbers also shot a security man during the raid.
The security man, who survived, is currently receiving treatment at a health facility.

Per reports from dailymailgh.com an employee of the company who pleaded anonymity disclosed that the armed men made away with items such as a TV set, and a mobile phone and two pump action guns.
The police at Jacobu have been notified of the development and have since taken over investigations.
They were however not reachable for comments.
