Evangelist Papa Shee has prophesied that Shatta Wale will soon become a gospel artiste.

According to him, Shatta Wale's 'destiny' has been revealed to him by God.

“Shatta Wale will repent soon and start composing gospel songs, he will start winning people for God…,” he declared.

The former Hiplife musician who is a preacher of the gospel said this while speaking to Quophi Okyeame on Angel Drive on Angel 102.9FM.

In his words, God has decided to appoint Shatta Wale as a gospel musician because most gospel musicians have disappointed God and are rather going after worldly things.

Not one to shy away from controversy, Shatta Wale has had his fair share of recognition in the gospel world.

He was earmarked by Pastor Salifu Amoako as the artiste who has raised the flag of Ghana very high, making Ghana very proud in the international market as compared to the gospel artists.

In 2019 he was nominated for the Ghana National Gospel Music Awards.

His God is Alive’ was nominated in the ‘Hybrid Song of the Year’ category.

At some point, he reached out to Joe Mettle for a track; an offer which was politely declined.
